An idea conceived in 2010 led to the first mega-event in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern the following year. “Lost in MV” was born.
Lost in MV stands for the vastness and relative emptiness of our federal state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, for the 'wilderness' of MV, for old, dilapidated houses and buildings amidst untouched forest and meadows.
The backdrop has always been the former military airfield on the Pütnitz peninsula. A site seemingly frozen in time, with old hangars and exhibition halls that create a "lost place" atmosphere where history and a thirst for adventure meet.
"Lost in MV" is more than just a geocaching meet-up – it's an experience and community event in a unique setting. If you're looking for a weekend with like-minded people, camping under the open sky, great activities, and a completely different atmosphere from the usual geocaching routine, then you've come to the right place.

Friday morning. It is 17 July 2026. Your equipment is checked, packed, and ready to use. You start your journey. Right on time, you arrive at the main gate, together with many others, and you catch a first glimpse of what awaits you. Only a few more minutes, and the tension rises. Exactly five minutes before noon, the gate opens. Signal greets you warmly, and your Lost in MV adventure begins.

Welcome to Pütnitz, a place that feels frozen in time. The enormous aircraft hangars from the early last century rise in front of you, making you feel small. Everywhere are vehicles from past eras, some of which roar to life with such force that the ground beneath you trembles. Here begins a journey that will not let you go.

A day full of experiences and possibilities. Sleepyhead or early bird? We start with a morning workout in front of Hangar 1. Signal will make sure you wake up even without coffee.
Afterwards, we look forward to meeting everyone at the breakfast. Strengthened, we begin the day.

After breakfast, you can once again enjoy the exhibitions at a relaxed pace or actively support us during the CITO. After an eventful weekend, we head toward the final ceremony, and at five past twelve, the gates of Pütnitz Airfield slowly close as we have to say goodbye. Now you are heading back home, carrying many wonderful memories with you.
